Jack Lindsey was born in Surrey, England. A shy and sensitive man, he will not give his age and lives in Woking with two cats and sixteen guppies. He says that he has always told or written stories.
His first work “Umbridge” was published in a local Newsletter in 1981 when he was asked to produce a serial along the lines of the BBC radio soap “The Archers”. Encouraged by the response, he embarked on the novel “Cogrill’s Mill” which was completed in 1996. Despite the rejection letters he received from literary agents and publishers, he gained much positive feedback.
On hearing the difficulties in becoming a first-time published author from other writers, he co-founded Peatmore Press. Cogrill’s Mill was published nine years later in March 2005 to critical acclaim. Buoyed by its success, he is at work on a second novel which should be completed in the next two years. He has also written a number of short stories and experimented with poetry.
